Question: Who was the most important person in your life and why?

In my opinion the most important person in my life was my mother. She is not my biological mom but to me she is my mom. She took me in when my mother and my dad, her son, were unfit to take care of a baby. She was always there for me. Her youngest son had just moved out when she took me in. She put her life on pause to raise another child – but now I think she is happy she did.

She supported me and gave me so many opportunities in life I never would be able to have.  I mean, I can’t give her all the credit, my lifestyle has given us many different opportunities we never would have had. Since I was two I have had an obsession with horses and she was all for it since day one. She travels all over the country with me for horse shows, and spends way too much money on them. This last week she has come to the barn with me everyday and is helping me with my new horse. She is the reason all of my riding achievements have become possible. She is the reason almost all of my achievements have become possible. She set me up to go to a great school, and be the first one in my family to graduate from a traditional college. Even though she pushed, and I mean pushed, the medical field onto me, I still chose to be a teacher and she has been supportive of it ever since I declared my major. 

We might not be best friends, sometimes we get on each other’s nerves, and even though we have a huge difference in opinions when it comes to most things, I still really appreciate everything she has ever done for me and I know she will always be there for me.
