The artifacts I included above are my literacy learning experience. I had to create a lesson plan for kindergarteners and create worksheets.
The reason I attached the artifacts above to standard 5 is because standard 5 says “uses multiple methods of assessment.” My worksheets don’t fully provide multiple methods of assessment, but they do allow for different types of learners to successfully fill them out. The first one asks for comprehension from a story I just read, and based on how they do filling them out, I will provide the option to have the story be read again, or have the option for students to look at the book on their own if they need to, after they try filling it out once. This allows for visual learners to see the page again, and auditory learners to hear it one more time. The next worksheet allows for students to either write or draw (or both) their answers. If a student is a visual learner, they probably will draw their answers. Some lessons are hard to include more than one way of assessing every student, but even with lessons like this where they are somewhat structured and don’t allow for lots of variations, I still tried to include the options for these students. Using what I know from my students in the future and how they learn I will continue to create lessons and worksheets and units that allow for every different type of learner to be engaged in the content.
